Project Delivery: NBN Rollout to 30 Wharves @ Sydney Ferries
Customer Challenge
Transdev Sydney Ferries (TDSF), a subsidiary of Transdev Australasia and the operator of ferry services within the Sydney Ferries network, required a structured framework to facilitate collaboration between Vocus, Source Central, and TDSF. The goal was to transition TDSF’s existing sites to Vocus. Although full due diligence was still underway, establishing a foundation of cooperation, joint issue investigation, and resolution was essential for the project’s success. The site transition process demanded a strong working relationship between multiple stakeholders, including Vocus, NBN, Australian Sentinel, TDSF, and Source Central.
Our Role
Australian Sentinel was engaged to provide IT professional services, including project management, business analysis, and assurance/testing, under a time and materials agreement. While Vocus handled network connectivity and Source Central managed router installation, SD-WAN implementation, and ongoing network management, Australian Sentinel took responsibility for end-to-end project delivery, including assurance and testing.
Our Approach
We adopted a collaborative and structured approach to ensure seamless project execution. Our team worked closely with all stakeholders to manage the transition process, resolve issues, and deliver high-quality outcomes. By focusing on effective communication, joint problem-solving, and rigorous testing, we ensured the project remained on track and met its objectives.
Outcomes Delivered
Through our proven project delivery methodology, we successfully supported the transition of TDSF’s sites to Vocus. Our efforts ensured the project was delivered efficiently, with all technical and operational requirements met. The collaboration between all parties resulted in a smooth and effective transition, demonstrating our ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
