Project Delivery: NBN Rollout to 30 Wharves @ Sydney Ferries

Background

Transdev Sydney Ferries (TDSF) is a subsidiary of Transdev Australasia and is the operator of
ferry services in the Sydney Ferries network. Australian Sentinel supplied TDSF IT professional services (project management, business analysis and assurance/testing).

Challenge

The project needed a framework for Vocus and Source Central to work closely and collaboratively with Transdev Sydney Ferries to transition their current sites over to Vocus. Whilst due diligence was yet to be fully completed, the basic concepts of collaboration, joint investigation and resolution of issues was critical to the success of this project. The project, particularly the site transition process required a close working relationship between Vocus, NBN, Australian Sentinel, Transdev Sydney Ferries and Source Central.

Solution

We provided project management, business analysis and assurance/testing, under time and materials agreement.

While Vocus provided network connectivity to the locations and Source Central installed and configured routers, implemented SD-WAN, established ongoing network management solutions, Australian Sentinel managed the end to end project delivery including assurance/testing.
